Follow the guided setup of Telegram and come back to this page to get the link . Be sure you use your proper first and last name so we can regnize you and add you to the chat!

STEP 4: Set Notification Settings

We understand that constant notifications can be overwhelming, and some of you might be tempted to mute the app altogether. But don't worry, there's a better way to stop the barrage of notifications while still staying connected to the chat!

To mute the channel

1. Open the Telegram app and go to the chat channel.

2. Tap on the channel's name at the top of the screen to open the channel info.

3. A - For Apple devices: Scroll down and find the "Mute" option.

4. B - For Android devices:Tap on the bell icon on the top right corner.

5. Choose the duration for which you want to mute the channel (e.g., 1 hour, 8 hours, 2 days, or forever). You can always change this setting later by following the same steps.

By muting only the channel, you'll avoid getting a ton of "Ding" or "BZZ BZZ" while still being able to receive important updates. Plus, if someone Pins a message or specifically tags you via @name, you will still get a notification.

To make sure you don't miss anything while the channel is muted, I recommend placing the Telegram app icon next to your text messages app so you can still see the notification count icon - This way, you can easily remember to check the chat at your leisure without being hammered with notifications.
